We are Bradley and Lindsey from Connecticut

Dear Brave Mother, 

We understand that this decision does not come easy, but we are incredibly honored that you are taking the time to read about our family. As a family, we are a fun-loving, caring, and adventurous group that includes the two of us and our three goofy dogs. We take pride in the loving and nurturing home that we have built together which rests on the respect we have for one another. If chosen, you and your child would be accepted into our family and cared for unconditionally. We will honor and respect your feelings throughout this process and will be eternally grateful to you. We promise that your child will know their story and the bravery that it took for you to come to this decision. 

So, who is Brad? Brad grew up in Southern Connecticut, and is an avid sports fan, who loves spending time with friends and family. He is blessed with many close friends, and they know he is always there for them. Brad is kind, compassionate, and above all has the patience of a saint. He has family nearby in New York, and Massachusetts, who will adore your child and “love them zillions.” Brad grew up in a home that taught him the wonderful values that he embodies today. 

As for Lindsey? Lindsey was born in Vermont and raised in Massachusetts with her older sister and younger brother. She was raised in a fun-loving, and nurturing home which values traditions. Lindsey is the type of person who knows how to find the humor in every situation and always loves to crack jokes. She has a very large extended family which taught her that family always comes first. Lindsey’s parents, siblings, and nieces live in Florida, but that does not stop them from talking almost every day. Lindsey has two nieces -- Nora, who is 6 and Ava, who is 4. They both enjoy playing outside on their farm and can’t wait to have a little cousin to show around. When Lindsey was in college her parents adopted two siblings who were in separate foster homes. From the time that they were brought into the family, they knew they were home. It is this example of a loving and accepting home that we will create for your child. 

We both believe strongly in the importance of community and the value of service. We work hard to be generous with our time, whether volunteering for an animal rescue, helping in a food pantry, tutoring young people, or helping friends or family in need. We are curious about the world around us, and love to travel and try new things. 

We have been together for over 5 years. We love spending time with each other creating our own traditions. We celebrate both our Jewish and Catholic upbringings, and will make meaningful memories with your child. Your child will cherish having a Christmas tree, and a Menorah every holiday season. Each year we celebrate the holidays with family in person and virtually. Our traditions include Chinese food on Christmas Eve, followed by opening one gift before bed. On Christmas day, we open presents, have dinner and play board games in front of the fire. We watch virtually as our family in Florida opens gifts, with the gift only being given out to those who cheer the loudest. As a couple, we are fun, entertaining, loving, and can’t wait to share this with your child. We would love to learn your traditions, so that your child can know where they came from. 

If there is anything we would like for you to take away from this letter, it would be that your child will always be surrounded by a village made up of family and friends who will encourage them, comfort them, and be by their side to work through life’s challenges. They will know that they are home.
