From Us to You

We are open to the level of communication that feels right to you. We would love to stay in touch during the pregnancy, if you’re comfortable, and are open to sharing updates as your child grows. If it feels right for everyone, we would also support a connection in the future.  If the mother is open, we would happily share milestone moments that occur throughout the child’s life, be it first steps, first day of school, school photos, and sporting and musical achievements. While this will be new to us, and likely the mother, we will be happy to work out an understanding on how often you’d like updates.

We would share with your child that they are deeply loved by you, and that you made a thoughtful and caring decision to place them with a family who could provide for them and love them every day. We will talk lovingly about you, and share any details you’ve provided us about your hobbies, passions, and family that you’d feel comfortable sharing. We understand that the child will likely want to know these at some point, so we are hopeful to be able to learn as much up front and stay in contact, so we can paint as full a picture of you to our as child as we can.

We understand this is not an easy decision, and we truly respect the care and thought you are putting into it. We feel incredibly grateful to be considered.

Your child would be welcomed into a large, loving extended family—surrounded by aunts, uncles, grandparents, and a close-knit community that feels like family. While we know life will have its ups and downs, they will always be supported, cared for, and deeply loved.

Why We Are Choosing to Adopt

We gave a lot of thought to how we wanted to grow our family, including both adoption and surrogacy. Ultimately, we felt that adoption was the right path for us.

We believe that families can be formed in many different ways, and that love, connection, and commitment are what truly define a family. We feel grateful for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption and to welcome a child into our lives in this way.

We are so excited to grow our family this way, and know we’ve made a great choice, as we glow while talking about it to friends and colleagues, who all affirm to us what good fathers we’ll make. We’ve had friends who were adopted and friends who are adopting, so we’ve got a great support network that has helped quell some initial nerves of the process. We believe in the modern family approach, and are so excited to grow our family this way, with lots of friends and family excited to meet and love our little one as well.

How We Met

We started as friends, bonding over shared hobbies like tennis and our East Coast roots, even while living in California. Will planned a memorable first date for Frankie, where we watched the sunset on the beach and enjoyed a picnic filled with some of Frankie’s favorite foods. It was a simple but special beginning to our relationship.

Lifestyle

We both grew up with active childhoods and would love to provide our child with similar opportunities. Music has played a meaningful role in our lives—Frankie has been playing piano since age six, and we both grew up attending concerts and enjoying live theater.

We were also both very involved in sports growing up and still enjoy staying active through tennis and other racket sports. We would love for our child to have the opportunity to experience the friendships and sense of connection that being part of a team can bring.

Travel is another important part of our lives. We enjoy exploring new places and cultures, and hope to share those experiences with our child—helping them see the world, appreciate different perspectives, and discover all that life has to offer.

We’ve been fortunate to travel together all over the world. As avid tennis fans, we’ve attended all four major tournaments—New York, London, Paris, and Australia—which has been an incredible shared experience for us. In 2025, we checked off continents five and six, hiking Machu Picchu in Peru and seeing the cherry blossoms in bloom in Japan—two unforgettable moments we’ll always treasure. We also love music and the arts, from attending large festivals like Coachella to enjoying musicals and plays in London’s West End.

We enjoy spending our vacations visiting family multiple times throughout the year, and we also try to travel abroad at least once a year. We’ve been fortunate to visit every continent except Antarctica. Some of our favorite international destinations include Rome, Paris, and London.

About Frankie by WIll

My favorite things about Frankie are his loving nature, his willingness to try anything, his musical talent, and the way he shows care in everyday moments. He has such a natural warmth, especially with our nephews and friends’ kids—he’s always the first to make them feel important, listen to their stories, and jump in to play whatever game or sport they’re excited about. Frankie is also an adventurous and easygoing travel companion. On a trip to South Africa for his 30th birthday, we hiked Table Mountain despite rain and high winds, looked out over Victoria Falls, and experienced an unforgettable safari with lions, elephants, and hippos. He embraces new experiences with enthusiasm and curiosity. Music is a constant in Frankie’s life. He’s always humming or singing, or sitting down at the piano. He has a natural ear for music and can hear a tune and recreate it on the keys, which is always amazing to watch.

About Will by Frankie

My favorite thing about Will is his sense of drive and organization, balanced by his lighthearted sense of humor and the way he consistently goes above and beyond for others. He has a special way of making me feel loved through thoughtful gestures—like one Christmas when he created a jar filled with memories and reasons he loves me, so I could open one throughout the year. Whether he’s planning a surprise party for a friend or spending hours putting up posters to help find a lost dog, Will is tireless when it comes to supporting the people he cares about.  These are all qualities that Frankie believes will make Will an outstanding parent. He will always make sure the child is cared for with all their favorite snacks and ready for their activities with everything they need. He will thoughtfully plan birthdays and trips to be special and memorable for the entire family, but especially the child. He has familial experiences he can draw on to help teach through tougher moments. Frankie can not wait to take this journey with Will.

Our Home

We’ve both been lucky to call California home for over a decade and love taking advantage of all the beautiful outdoor activities it has to offer. Whether it’s a beach day or a hike out east with stunning views overlooking the city, we enjoy spending as much time outside as we can. In our excitement and anticipation of growing our family, we’ve already picked up a baby carrier and can’t wait to include a little one on our hiking adventures. We recently moved into a new home in a family-oriented community, with parks nearby and plenty of activities for a child to enjoy. Music is a part of our everyday life. We have a piano at home that Frankie loves to play (and Will loves to listen to), and we can already picture many singalongs together. We often imagine simple moments like family dinners outside as the sun sets, with the mountains glowing in shades of pink and purple—a peaceful, everyday kind of magic we hope to share with our child.

Our Family

We are both very close with our families, as well as with friends who feel like family to us. Will has a sister and brother-in-law, along with two nephews (ages 6 and 5) whom we adore visiting back east in Maryland. We’ve talked with them about the possibility of a future cousin, and they’re so excited at the thought of having another family member to play with and share in life’s moments. Will’s parents, also in Maryland, are overjoyed about us growing our family. They look forward to spending extended time with us in California and building a close relationship with their grandchild. Frankie’s family is closer by, in California. He has cousins with children nearby and has loved being part of their lives as they’ve grown up. Frankie’s mom is overjoyed at the thought of becoming a grandmother, and her partner—who was adopted—brings a meaningful personal connection to our journey. They were both incredibly excited when we shared our plans. Frankie’s dad and his wife, who live back east, are just as excited and have shared that they will make every effort to visit often and be an active part of their grandchild’s life.

Favorite Family Traditions

  • We spend a long week each summer with Will’s family at their home in Sodus Bay, New York, making memories with our nephews—fishing, kayaking, boating, enjoying home-cooked meals, and, of course, getting ice cream together.
  • At the end of each summer, we visit Frankie’s family in the Outer Banks, North Carolina, where we love reliving childhood memories of beach days and miniature golf.
  • We also gather with Will’s extended family each Thanksgiving, celebrating birthdays and spending meaningful time together.
  • The holidays have always been especially important to us. We both have fond memories of growing up and waiting for Santa Claus on Christmas morning, and we would love to create those same magical moments with our child—watching their excitement as they run to the tree, followed by a cozy family dinner with Frankie’s siblings, parents, and future cousins.

Our Promise

We promise to raise your child in a home filled with love, stability, and strong family connections. They will be surrounded by a supportive community of extended family and close friends who will know them, care for them, and be part of their life. We believe in giving a child the opportunity to explore their interests—whether that’s in sports, music, art, or other activities—and encouraging them to grow into who they are, at their own pace. We love the outdoors, spending time with the people we care about, animals, and traveling. We look forward to sharing these experiences with your child—introducing them to new places, cultures, and perspectives as they grow. We are fortunate to have stable careers that allow us both flexibility and time together as a family. Above all, we promise that your child will be deeply loved, supported, and cared for every single day.

Our Final Thoughts

We promise to love and raise your child with all of our hearts. We feel incredibly grateful for the life we’ve built—surrounded by family, stability, and meaningful interests—and we look forward to sharing that with a child. We are committed to raising them with patience, understanding, and support as they grow and discover who they are. If it feels right to you, we would welcome a connection over time, and we will always honor your place in their story. We want your child to know as much about you as you’re comfortable sharing.
