Hello Friend,

Even though we have not met yet, we already have so much respect for you and value your decision to choose life. We don’t know where you are in your journey, but we feel it’s no mistake that our paths have crossed. Our Journey has led us here after many failed fertility treatments, surgeries and sadly, loss. We are on a search for a new beginning, filled with unconditional love and hope. This is all because of your heart, your love, and your strength of sacrifice. So just for that small bit of hope, we already say thank you for this incredible opportunity to embark on a new journey…with us, together. One filled with joy, kindness and most importantly peace. Peace in the knowledge that your child will be loved, cherished, and well cared for.

We are Ben and Elena and we live in a wonderful small town in Indiana. We are blessed to have a beautiful home on a lake. Although we graduated from the same high school in the town that we currently live in, we didn’t meet until we were in our late 20's. This is when we fell in love and became best friends.

We live one minute away from our parents who also live on the lake and have access to swimming, boats and kayaks. Our community is known for having some of the best schools and parks. Our house is centered between two large parks that also have water near them and loads of fun activities for families. The community is known for being an active one and has bike and walking paths throughout. We also love culture, history and travel, and while we live in Indiana, we are just an hour from Chicago and the museums and arts that can be found there. We are also close to Michigan for apple and pumpkin picking in the fall. Occasionally, we leave the area to learn about other cultures by traveling to places like Copenhagen, Puerto Rico, Mexico and New Orleans.

We can’t wait to add to our family and can’t wait to show them what lake life is all about and to appreciate nature by learning more about birds, deer, fox and bunnies. We are avid bird watchers and love learning about the trees and flowers in the area.

Although we don’t have any children currently, our family motto is, “We will figure it out.” This motto has been a staple in our marriage and is something that we hope we will get the opportunity to teach to our children. Life gets so unpredictable sometimes, we feel that we can always figure out a way to get through any storm while providing a safe and healthy environment… together as a family.

We have strong family values based on joy, kindness and curiosity. We chose joy as a value in order to practice compassion and to overcome the fear and anxiety that might get in the way of finding and having happiness. Joy also gives us the constant reminder of positivity and how we can have an effect on others. This brings happiness to not only ourselves, but to others as well. Lastly, joy reminds us to be courageous and diligent in our pursuits and allows us to find peace in the outcome.

Another value we live by is kindness. In our household we value this as a strength as it is sometimes hard. Be kind to yourself to turn around any negative self-talk, be kind in the face of someone who is un-kind and wish those well who face difficulties or are in need.

The last value we hold dear in our house is curiosity. This value encompasses our love of learning and finding interest in everything we do. It also helps to diffuse difficult situations by wanting to understand other people’s point of view. This helps us learn new skills and knowledge while enjoying the process.

Although this is just a brief insight as to who we are, please know we already think that you are such a selfless and strong person for giving us the opportunity to turn us from a married couple to a family. Your baby will be so loved, and we can’t wait to share life’s experiences with them and nurture them to the best of our ability.
