Dear Expectant Mom,
We are honored that you would take the time to look at our profile and get to know a little about us. We imagine this process is overwhelming and scary and that there are many uncertainties. One thing does remain certain though- the love you have for your child.
We may not know you yet but we admire your strength and bravery. It takes courage to realize that you may not be able to provide the life you want for your child. It takes physical and emotional strength to grow this life inside you considering you may have to say goodbye so soon after saying hello. We too have had to part with our children shortly after they were born as they went to heaven. We see you and we see your struggle. You will be part of our family from day one and you will never be forgotten by us or by your child. Know that you will continue to be their mom long after you leave the hospital and go back home. After all, a mother is not defined by the children she has with her, but by those she holds in her heart.
We have always wanted to have a big family. Our biological children Gemma and Massimo both went to heaven shortly after they were born; though they are not with us physically, they are present in our hearts. Gemma and Massimo left so much love in our hearts and taught us to never take anything for granted. Our kids gifted us a desire for helping others in need that is why we chose to adopt our son Matteo in 2019 and really desire to continue growing our family through adoption. Developing a relationship with Matteo’s mom was humbling and eye opening. We were able to support her and get to know her. We talk to Matteo lovingly about his mom often and we will do the same with your child. He or she will always know your unconditional love, strength and perseverance.
If you entrust your child to us, he or she will be extraordinarily loved. They will grow up with an older brother and be part of our days which are filled with joyful singing and dancing, playing, and spending time outdoors with our super affectionate dog Rocco. We will often walk at the park and enjoy feeling the texture of trees, flowers, and rocks. Before bedtime we will cuddle with our dog and choose some books to read which often highlight different cultures and backgrounds. We want our children to be proud of their ethnicity and be aware of how the diversity of the world is special and should be celebrated. Your child will be growing up in a Christian family. They will learn by example to love and turn to God always, trusting in Him and His ways. Your child will be part of many communities. No matter where we are, your child will always be surrounded by love and family.
We hope this letter gives you a glimpse into the loving, joyful, and faith filled family that your child would join. We will continue to pray for peace and strength for you.
John and Chiara
