Dear Expectant Mom,
We have an abundance of love in our relationship and we cannot wait to share that with your child. We are grateful for your time in reading our story. We will wrap our arms around your baby and promise to provide a fun, loving, and nurturing home.
Stephen is a Pediatric Dentist and Jeremy recently retired from his career. Stephen pursued a specialty in Pediatrics so he could better the oral health of children and caring for kids is fun. He enjoys the high energy of working with young ones and also knows how much patience goes into their care. Many days he comes home with stories about the cute and funny things that his patients tell him. Jeremy being home means a lot to us as we plan our family’s future. Your child will receive lots of extra care and love with a parent at home full time. Some of the things we look forward to are spending time visiting the local library, walking around the nearby parks, spending time at the lake, and being involved in our community. Just a short walk away is a new swim park and we cannot wait to teach your child how to swim and enjoy the water. When your baby is school aged, Jeremy wishes to be involved when needed and we will be supportive of the activities they choose to participate in.
We have a lot of hobbies, including traveling and appreciating the outdoors. Some of our favorite places to visit are National Parks to enjoy the beautiful scenery and spend time outdoors hiking. In the winter we like to escape Minnesota and go somewhere warm like Florida or Arizona. Additionally, we like to read, paint, listen to music, and watch TV series and movies. We really enjoy watching House Hunters Renovation as it gives us aspirations for projects around the home. We also like watching Modern Family, Game of Thrones, Super Store, and comedy movies. A healthy lifestyle is important to us, so we stay active by visiting the gym, taking walks, practicing yoga, and eating healthy. Oh, but we also enjoy baking, especially cupcakes and cookies to bring to work and share with friends.
Our home is in Southern Minnesota, in a town of approximately 50,000 people. It is a close-knit, safe, and family friendly community. The commute to the city, where we lived for a number of years, is short. This allows us to visit a few times a month to spend time with our families and friends, including soon to be grandparents! As mentioned, we love to travel and immerse ourselves in new places, languages, and cultures. We want your child to appreciate both the rural and urban lifestyles that we have in Minnesota.
Minnesota has lots of different regions and diversity. Where we live is more of the river and prairie area, our family in Northern Minnesota live more in the woods and lakes areas, and between is the urban metropolis of the city. The whole state is very green and most Minnesotans spend lots of time outdoors, even in the winter. We really enjoy all the regions, visiting our family and friends, which are all just a short drive away. One of our favorite things about being close to the city is to drive up, eat amazing ethnic food and be able to visit different festivals and fairs that celebrate the community that makes up Minnesota. Art Fairs, Pride Festivals and the State Fair are all things that we look forward to in the city. It is imperative that we foster a worldly perspective for your child so they will be able to appreciate and respect people from all walks of life.
Our families and friends are just as excited as we are for the arrival of our new baby. Our nieces and nephews are eager to have a cousin they can visit and play with. They enjoy many things such as fishing, snowmobiling, spending time at the lake, card games, and video games. Our immediate family is spread between Minnesota, North Carolina, Washington State, Arizona, and Canada. We look forward to traveling to maintain a tight relationship between the cousins. Even when we cannot visit family in person we Facetime and Zoom often to catch up on their lives and school news. Your baby will have four grandparents, “Nanna,” “Baka,” “Grandma,” and “Pappa”, who all live in Minnesota and can’t wait to spend time with their newest grandchild.
We very much appreciate your consideration in allowing us to raise your baby. We cannot begin to comprehend the difficulty of the decision you are considering. Your courage in trusting us to unconditionally care for and raise this precious little life is insurmountable. We have been preparing for this baby for many years and are committed to raising him or her. We are ready to welcome your baby into our loving and nurturing home.
