Dear Expectant Mother,
We are Kevin and Kelley from Alabama. Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and look at our profile. We are excited to begin this journey with you.
We have been searching for a long time for an answer to our prayers, and we hope that our prayers will soon be answered. We are unable to have children naturally, but we realized that God has bigger plans for us to grow our family. Having a child in our lives will help to enrich the love that we already share. We can’t wait to share our life and the traditions that we grew up with and continue to enjoy to this day. We could never begin to truly know what it is that you are going through with this difficult decision, but we would like you to know what your child can expect with us.
We met in a somewhat unconventional manner, or maybe it’s more conventional these days! We met on a dating website. We both had never been married and have no children, so we like to say we were both well trained and independent souls by then!
Kevin is a Database Manager at our local university where he also graduated from. He loves to be involved in the tech world and to see what is going on daily. Kelley is office manager of a local disaster recovery company and has worked there for 15 years.
Our family and friends can’t wait for your baby to join our family. Kelley’s family consists of her mother, father, stepfather and sister and her sister’s dog Bella, who we consider as our own sometimes! They are all excited for your child to join our family and pray daily for this to happen for us. Kevin fits very well into Kelley’s family; her mother and father both love and adore him as their own. Kevin’s family consists of his mother, father, brother, sister-in-law, and his sister and her three children. All of our families have blended so well together and we all spend holidays with each other.
Our friends are very supportive. Their children all can’t wait to have a new baby to play with, and grow up with. They can’t wait to meet the new addition and the changes that this will bring to our family.
We recently moved into a new, larger home. Right now, there are only three families living in the neighborhood, so it is a quiet neighborhood that will be growing over the next few years. It is a three bedroom, 2 and a half bath home with a large bedroom for your child to grow up in! We have already started buying little knick knacks, including getting a toy chest from Kelley’s great grandmother refurbished for the baby’s room. We can’t wait to share our forever home with your little one.
We both grew up along the Gulf Coast where the sights and sounds of the Gulf of Mexico are only an hour away. We love the beach and the water and take any chance we can get to escape there, either with our boat or by car. There is nothing like the sound or sight of the Gulf of Mexico to take all of your cares away.
Holidays are a tradition we have both always enjoyed. We love to decorate for each and every holiday. Kevin likes to joke that Kelley has to have a lot of electricity for all the lights she likes to put up at Christmas. That is one of the things that he told our contractors for our new home. Kelley loves lights! On Thanksgiving night, we like to go home, just the two of us, and put up our tree with the ornaments we have collected over the years. Kevin has many sentimental ones, such as Frosty and Rudolph that he has had since he was a child. Kelley has an ornament to commemorate each year that we have been together. After Christmas, we leave our tree up for our next holiday, which is Mardi Gras. We are both very involved in our Mardi Gras Organizations and love to be a part of this tradition every year. Mardi Gras is such a sense of tradition from where we grew up, and we are both honored to be a small part of its history and culture.
We also love football and take in at least one University of Alabama game a year. This is yet another tradition that we were brought up on, to love Alabama football. Most weekends you will see us at friends’ houses enjoying the game with our friends and their families grilling and watching the game. We also love the New Orleans Saints and go to their games every chance we get.
Our lives are full of wonderful things, and we want to share it all with your baby. We were both brought up in the Catholic religion and will bring him or her up this way as well. We will love your child with our whole hearts and beings! They will never lack for love, and they will have every opportunity to grow and thrive. They will grow up in a fun and loving atmosphere, we promise you!
Our life feels complete, but we know in our hearts it is not. We pray that God blesses us with a child and that you will be confident knowing that your child will be loved to infinity and beyond.
