Dear Expectant Mother,

You face a difficult decision and we admire you for the courage it takes to even consider making an adoption plan for your child.  Should you decide to choose us to love and raise your child, our promise to you is to provide your child with a family life that is filled with love, laughter and lots of adventures.  We hope to meet you soon and we would love to be a part of your adoption journey.

When I first met Melissa, I couldn’t have told you that we would be happily married one day and now looking back on the beginnings of our relationship and seeing it progress, really makes my heart happy and puts a smile on my face.  There are so many good things about her, like she’s definitely the brain of the family and I love how she likes to plan things for us.  I also love that she’s a traveler and likes going places.  She’s an animal lover (just like myself) and loves both of our pets dearly.  We have so many pictures of our pets, which means you can only imagine that we will have pictures of your child galore to send you.   She’s also very family oriented, which I love because I’m the same way.  We’re so both well balanced and work together as a team and I know deep down in my heart, that we will be amazing parents and provide your child with a happy life. Did I also mention that my wife is beautiful, smart, loving, thoughtful, caring and will no doubt be an amazing mom to your child.

Johnnie is a unique individual, in a good way! The love that Johnnie shares with everyone is simply amazing. This is what I love the most about him. From friends to family, there is not a single person that he has not met that they are not instant friends. He is one of those people that you don’t have to ask to help. He will volunteer his time to anyone. He makes sure I am always taken care of as well as our animals. His face lights up when he is in the room with any kids, no matter what age. He has a way of adapting to them and they love him just as much as our friends and family do. Johnnie enjoys mountain biking and is already dreaming of the day he can teach your child to ride a bike and when your child gets older going on the trails together, father and child. He is going to be a wonderful dad to your child.

We live in a quiet but friendly neighborhood with a park just down the street from our house that we enjoy taking our dog to for walks several times a week. In this park, there is a small pond and Johnnie is looking forward to taking your child down to feed the ducks that live there.  Melissa enjoys cooking, especially home cooked meals and can’t wait to pull up a chair so that your little one can join her in preparing the family meals.  We are big on eating dinner together each night and putting our cell phones away so we can hear all about each other’s day.  We imagine a child at the table with us, sharing how their day was and making plans for the weekend of all the things we want to do as a family.  We LOVE to travel and are looking forward to showing your child the world.  We like to travel to new places and not travel to the same place twice, unless of course it is to visit family.  Since we are both big animal lovers, the zoo is one of our favorite places to visit.  We can’t wait to get an annual family pass to the zoo so that we can visit the zoo frequently with your child. 

Your child will be surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who can’t wait to meet them.  One of our favorite family traditions is hosting Thanksgiving where we deep fry the turkey and all the aunts, uncles and cousins come to town and join us for a day of feasting and reconnecting to family we may not have seen during the year.

The opportunity to adopt your child would be the greatest gift and we promise to provide your child with a family life that is filled with love, laughter and lots of adventures.  Thank you for reading our letter and considering our family.
